David Lewis
Executive Director

David moved to Salem to serve at Capital Manor, having fallen in love with Oregon’s outdoors and lifestyle. With over 21 years’ experience in the senior lifestyle industry, providing a quality life for seniors is his passion. He has a BA from Union University, an M. Div from Midwestern, is licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator and certified as an ALF/RCF Administrator. When not at work, he has a variety of interests including hiking, biking, cooking healthy gourmet, and studying history.

Nancy Dunton

Nancy Dunton, Ph.D., R.D.
Director of Dining & Culinary Services

Nancy grew up just outside of Rochester, New York. She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio and received a bachelor’s degree in dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship in Minneapolis, MN. During the summers, she worked at Glacier National Park in Montana as a cook. Once done with her education she headed to Oregon. She worked for 7 years at Albany General Hospital before returning to graduate school at Oregon State to get her Ph.D. in Nutrition & Food Management. When Nancy is not at work, she is most probably biking with her husband, gardening or researching recipes. She often rides her bike to work from Corvallis in the summer. Nancy is married and has a step son, Bryan. Fun fact: Nancy LOVES dogs and house-sits for one on a regular basis.

 Cleve Knabe

Cleve Knabe
Director of Facility Services

Cleve grew up in the mid-Willamette valley, specifically Albany and always wanted to be a farmer. He came to West Salem in 1996 with his wife and two daughters to open Ace Hardware on Wallace Road. Cleve and his wife enjoy hiking and have hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon four times. He’s worked at Capital Manor since 2000 and is very glad he didn’t become a farmer!

Deirdre Miller

Deirdre Miller
Director of Financial Services

Deirdre is originally from Nashville Tennessee but has lived in Oregon for over 20 years now. She’s a Western Oregon University graduate. Her degree is in Business Administration with an Accounting Focus. Deirdre started at Capital Manor in October of 2009 with an extensive background in senior living, totaling over 16 years in the industry. When Deirdre isn’t crunching numbers in the finance office you will find her cooking, one of her favorite things to do!

Patty Kidd

Patty Kidd
Assistant Administrator

Patty has lived in the Willamette Valley her entire life and has worked in Senior Living since she was 15. She has worked at Capital Manor since 2000, starting out as a caregiver, working in activities and Director of Environmental Services; she is now the Assistant Administrator of Resident Health Services. Patty has a bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Health Care Administration. In her spare time, Patty loves spending time with her husband, her kids and grandkids.

Mark Fineran

Mark Fineran
Director of Human Resources

Mark Fineran—is a firm Beaver Believer after graduating from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Mark has been in Human Resource Management for over 30 years and came to Capital Manor in May of 2012. Mark is a native Oregonian having started life in Lakeview, Oregon, a small town in SE Oregon but most of his time growing up was in Salem. A ‘fun fact’ about Mark is that he was fortunate to be a member of the South Salem High School 1971 Football State Championship Team! Go Saxons! The entire team was later inducted into the South Salem High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Mark’s ‘fun’ activities include golf, skiing, salmon fishing and duck hunting!

Mary Pruitt

Mary Pruitt
Director of Administrative Services

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Mary came to Salem at age 11.  After high school, she attended Chemeketa Community College where she received her basic education, while working at JC Penney.    She spent a total of 23 years working at State Farm Insurance, married and raised four children while also attending Corban University to earn her BS in Management and Communication.  She has been at Capital Manor since 2004.  When Mary’s not busy in the office, she’s spending time with her family and loves her two Pomeranian dogs.

Shelby Prichard

Shelby Prichard
Director of Community Life & Wellness

Shelby was born and raised in Hood River Oregon and achieved a BS in Exercise Science from Oregon State University and a MS in Gerontology from Iowa State University. After realizing that working in senior living was the career path she desired she was fortunate enough to land a job at Capital Manor in 2005! Outside of work, Shelby spends her time with her two daughters and husband. She loves her home and yard and finds great joy caring for both.

Carolyn Creighton

Carolyn Creighton
Administrator of Resident Health Services

Carolyn joined the Capital Manor team in January 2015 with an extensive background in long term care. She has fulfilled the role as a Caregiver, Medication Aide, Resident Care Coordinator and Executive Director in Assisted Living communities across Oregon. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with a minor in Gerontology from Oregon State University in October of 2011. Her certifications include; certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer (NCCDP/INCCDP), Certified Administrator in Oregon and Washington, Certified in Gerontology (OSU). When she’s not fulfilling her roles as Administrator, she’s spending time with her two sons and working at her restaurant on weekends.
