      Personal Appearance/Dress Code Policy

Dress, grooming, and personal cleanliness standards contribute to the morale of all employees and affect the business image Capital Manor presents to customers and visitors. In addition, it is of great importance that employees dress in a manner that is respectful towards the residents and considers what the residents feel is appropriate dress. During working hours, employees are expected to present a clean, neat appearance and to dress according to the requirements of their positions.

Dress is not to be in poor taste, provocative or distractive.  Soiled, torn, excessively short or excessively tight clothing is considered inappropriate.  Clothing with lettering or pictures other than that of Capital Manor are not allowed unless pre-approved by your supervisor.

Hair should be clean and well groomed.  Sideburns, moustaches, and beards are to be neatly trimmed.  Long hair should be restrained in a manner so as not to be readily accessible to being caught in machinery or equipment.  Body piercing is only acceptable for the ears.  Any other visible piercings must be removed or replaced with a clear plug.  Earrings may not be longer than 2 inches in length.  In addition, no more than two earrings per ear may be worn.  All tattoos will be covered, except for those on the hands.  Tattoos on hands must be appropriate for the workplace.  Offensive or inappropriate tattoos will not be allowed.
